Draymond Green details his new healthy living in new video

Draymond Green’s game went to “a different level” this season because of his off-court choices.

That’s how the Warriors star described his experience living healthier in a video for Uninterrupted —  the blogging platform which hosts his podcast Dray Day — that is titled “Becoming An Elite Athlete.”

“This year was the first time that I hired an actual nutritionist (and) it’s been amazing,” Green said in the video. “I hired a chef, and he’s been incredible. I feel like that’s completely taken me to a different level.”

The two staffers exchange information about Green’s diet and daily activity in texts and emails, he said. His nutritionist showed him how carbs affect his performance and his chef makes pregame snacks of whole grains and lean protein.

“All that stuff makes a difference,” Green said. “Until having them this year, I didn’t notice how bad I felt years prior to this. (Your) body starts to change, starts to feel better. It’s like, man I never knew I was feeling that (crappy). I tend to think, ‘Ah man, if I do everything right on game day I’ll be fine.’ But the day before, we’re playing basketball, we’re running up and down a basketball court. Performance is important. Some jobs you can completely (not care) the day before and you’ll be just fine when yo go to work tomorrow. It ain’t always the case with what our job is.”
