Missing Fort Riley soldier found "safe and good health" – Wibw

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) — The missing Fort Riley soldier, Garett Swift, who had missing since Tuesday night, was found “safe and in good health,” the Riley Co. Police Dept. said Thursday morning.

On Wednesday, authorities asked for the public’s help finding Swift, 37, saying he hadn’t been heard from since 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police did not release any information about where he was found.

They said in the time Swift was missing Fort Riley issued a warrant for his arrest, so when RCPD officers made contact with him, he was arrested. Police did emphasize, however, they issued the alert was issued before the warrant and they were focused on trying to find him.

Swift is a fire support specialist with base headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Reginment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Inf. Div.
