Outcome Health puts 3 employees on leave amid claims it misled advertisers: report

Outcome Health has placed three employees on leave following a monthslong investigation by the Wall Street Journal into whether the Chicago startup misled pharmaceutical clients about the reach and effectiveness of their ads, according to the newspaper’s story published Thursday.

The company delivers pharmaceutical advertising to patients from screens placed in doctor’s offices.

In an emailed statement, Outcome Health said incidents identified by the Wall Street Journal occurred between 2014 and 2016. The company denied “having a practice of misreporting campaign information to customers.”

The company said it has hired former U.S. Attorney Dan Webb, now of law firm Winston Strawn, “to review allegations about certain employees’ conduct that have been raised internally.”
